Ignorance isn’t always bliss

To Meditate is to become familiar with.

Familiar with what?

I struggled to meditate for years, ignored every prompt and downright refused to give in to the obvious, all the while knowing it was the very thing that would help me…. Let me rephrase that….. SAVE ME from vicious cycle I found myself in.

We all know that feeling where we know what’s best for us and yet we still don’t do it!

It could genuinely be for very valid reasons; maybe we don’t know how OR maybe it’s a lack of understanding.

Ignorance isn’t always bliss… In an age of information, ignorance is a choice!

This was me when it came to meditating….

The brilliant Dr Joe Dispenza taught me that ‘To meditate is to become familiar with’.

When I asked myself ‘familiar with what?’ ~ the answer was loud and clear.

Familiar with the Truth ~ My Truth ~ My heart ~ the essence of who I truly am that is covered over and hidden by many layers of old story that prevent me from getting anywhere close to connecting to my heart.

As I really struggled to be still and to focus, I taught myself to meditate by staring into a naked flame while concentrating on my breathing. This naturally calmed my mind and my racing thoughts, kept me still long enough to feel my beating heart and with practice I was able to build my capacity to meditate effectively…. And to become familiar with….My Truth and the Power of Love. The energy that orchestrates all things.

I invite you to give it a go and see if you enter b.l.i.s.s.
